This online course is designed for new and experienced digger derrick operators, utility crews, construction workers, and supervisors. Learn preoperation inspection, jobsite hazard assessment, outrigger and bearing mat setup, load-chart interpretation, rigging, auger operation, and pole handling. Training also covers electrical hazards, ground crew communication, personnel bucket safety, emergency response, and shutdown procedures. Includes a final knowledge test, a certificate of completion upon successful completion, and a downloadable employer hands-on evaluation checklist. Before authorizing operation, the employer must arrange equipment-specific familiarization and a hands-on evaluation. Additional certification or licensing may apply depending on the work performed.
